Plug:

This event will happen at Araneta Coliseum, this Thursday, December 25, which is Christmas Day. 4 teams will collide as they face each other in this Yuletide day. Here’s my preview:

1st Game: Air21 vs. Talk ‘N Text

Who’s the real winner in the current trade?

It’s a toss!

2nd Game: Ginebra vs. Rain or Shine

Can Ginebra upset them? Or Caloy’s winning ways wil make them sweep?

Watch out!

Please watch PBA games.

Dahil sa PBA, Atin ‘To!

Merry Christmas.

Expressing Allado

Don Carlos Allado comes to Air21 after having a stint with TnT from 2006 to 2008. He moved to Air21 last December 17 after the trade that pushed Ranidel de Ocampo to TnT.

Air21 is sad getting away with Ranidel. But they will just start to move on and rely on Ranidel’s former backups JR Quinahan and Doug Kramer.

Allado, the 1998-1999 UAAP MVP from DLSU is originally from Alaska. He was the leader of  the Aces’ team core during the early 2000’s along with Ali Peek. But when he went to TnT, he was just oftentimes used although he was an excellent 3-pt. shooter and also, his stats has moved up.

But in Air21, he was just used sparingly. I hope he could be the same Al

lado everyone knew unlike going to the bench due to age like Victor Pablo of Ginebra, who’s by the way now retired. His number with Air21 is #41.

Best Wishes for Air21 and good luck!

Merry Christmas.

The Real Meaning of Brotherhood

Recently, Ranidel de Ocampo was moved to TnT Tropang Texters from Air21 Express for Don Carlos Allado.

Ranidel adjusted slightly to his new team. As with his new team, he helped them down Ginebra last Wednesday, Dec. 17 in the Big Dome with the score 109-95. Ranidel himself scored 8 points.

Incidentally, his brother was there, Yancy, also a former Express. Today they are playing each other again, Ranidel says that he feels happy to be with his brother. The De Ocampo brothers played together from St. Francis of Assisi Doves in college, Air21 (2005-2007), and now TnT.

Regards to Ranidel and the TnT team!
Merry Christmas!!!

REVENGE!

by JA Conde

Congratulations to the DLSU Green Archers for winning the 2008 PCC championship! Good luck to them in the upcoming 2009 Unibersidad Games in Serbia.

DLSU defeated ADMU, 71-62 in the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City last Monday, December 8. On the other hand, ADMU lost the game due to the loss of key players like ROY Ryan Buenafe, Hapee stalwarts Chris Tiu (who’s in the US) and Jobe Nkemakolam.

Coach Franz Pumaren of DLSU said that they are the best Colegiate team in the nation today after upsetting ADMU. JV Casio made his best by having 20 points and other key players such as Hyram Bagatsing and PJ Walsham. He won the MVP of the Tournament.

For the record, ADMU leads DLSU in their matches: 5 wins, 2 losses. It started during the Fil-Oil Preseason Tournament wherein ADMU lose that game. Next game which they have faced again in the Nike Summer League Semifinals wherein ADMU started to win games forcing the Eagles to sweep Archers in the UAAP last July, 4-0. Reminding of the 2005 saga wherin Archers swept the Eagles who do not have Chris Tiu who’s studying in France then. And this was their another taste of revenge. Thanks to JV Casio.

Again, congratulations to them and make their best next year.
