PRESS SECRETARY CERGE REMONDE, 51

Incumbent Press Secretary Cerge Remonde has succumbed to cardiac arrest last January 18 in the Makati Medical Center at 11:51 am.

He has been the Press Secretary since the 1st day of February 2009 and has happily did his job for almost a year. Prior to being the Press Secretary, he landed jobs in and around the media scene, even had the time to manage the RPN-9 in the mid-2000’s before Orly Mercado succeeded him.

FOOTNOTE: Outcoming US Amb. to the Philppines Kristie Kenney is going to leave the Philippines by Monday. She’ll be replaced by an American-African named Harry K. Thomas. She was a good ambassador, in my opinion, as she was like enjoying being a Filipino.

RUDY DISTRITO: FREE

Recently, former Bad Boy of PBA Rudy Distrito has been free from jail for the first time in half a decade.

He has been in the California for years now, having been jailed due to the fact that he killed his live-in’s husband and have been accused of rape. He formerly played for Countryfair, Crispa, Ginebra, and Swift. His PBA career came to an end in early 1996 after showing a decline in his career after a career-threatening foul to then-rookie Jeffrey Cariaso a year ago.

Now back, he’ll be seen in PBA games today Friday and he’ll go back to his hometown the next day.
