With a record crowd of 108, 713, the biggest in any Basketball game, the last Sunday’s NBA mid-season extravaganza was a success. Why? Two words: D-Wade and Kryptonate. The East All-Stars won over the West All-Stars with a score of 141-139 at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, Texas.

To start things off, a Celebrity game was held with ex-pro Rick Fox, WNBA star Becky Hammon, Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and musician Common, among others, playing for fun and charity. Next was the Rookie Challenge where the Rookies won for the first time since 2002 with Tyreke Evans of Sacremento Kings leading the way.

And how about the “favorite” All-Star Saturday Night? Whoa, this night was one of a kind as many players became winners in the ff. contests:

Kenny Smith, Dirk Nowitzki, and Becky Hammon (Shooting Stars)

Kevin Durant (H-O-R-S-E)

Paul Pierce (Three-Point Shootout)

Steve Nash (Skills Challenge)

and ofcourse, the three-time Slam Dunk champion, Nate Robinson baby! Talk about him and Raptors’ DeMar DeRozan.

(This was big as it is, some didn’t even expected this)

And now, the main event………….THE 59TH NBA ALL-STAR GAME! This game was one of the most awesome as D-Wade showed his prowess (aside from having a reunion with former coach Stan Van Gundy) with 28 points, 11 assists, six rebounds and five steals. This game also made some NBA players express their positive feelings towards this tremendous mid-season event—–especially for hometown hero Chris Bosh and former Maverick Steve Nash. Business as usual for most NBA stars as they also showed some of the skills they never show on usual games.

And this will end my article.

FOOTNOTE: Caron Butler of Washington Wizards and Josh Howard of Dallas Mavericks exchanged respective teams along with DeShawn Stevenson, Drew Gooden (Excuse me, why is this guy a motherfucking journeyman? He should have not been traded instead two years ago. GEEZ) and Brendan Haywood.
