PBA TRADE UPDATE: One of the most shocking trades has happened in the 35 years of PBA basketball. Last Tuesday, Alaska Aces’ Willie Miller was shipped to Barangay Ginebra Kings in exchange for Cyrus Baguio, who has landed to Alaska.

This trade created a noise in the Philippine sports headlines as many were disappointed with this trade. According to the said trade, it was Miller who requested the trade to move him to another franchise, which he has been requesting for years now. Alaska team manager Joaqui Trillo said that he wa will miss Miller but in a way, he already accepts the trade, since Miller himself organized the trade.

Ironically, Miller and Baguio were former teammates in the 2003 Barako squad in the PBA. Miller was a rising star then while Baguio was still a benchwarmer fresh from his college stint in UST, he was still learning the ropes of the Professional game then (along with his uncle/teacher, Ric-Ric Marata, who recently died due to an organ failure).
