PBA UPDATE.

Sorry, late post! Photo courtesy of GMA News and PBA online.

* First off, three teams were involved in another blockbuster trade as it recieved many negative responses. Here’ the said trade via James Ty III’s facebook account:

Kelly Williams and Ryan Reyes to Talk n’
Text. Ali Peek, Nic Belasco, Yousif Aljamal, Ogie Menor and Pong
Escobal move to Sta. Lucia while Mark Isip joins Barako Coffee.

* And lastly, Alaska Aces veteran Jeffrey Cariaso has hung up his sneakers after 15 years of PBA stint with Alaska, Mobiline, Tanduay and Coca-Cola wherein he has won several achievements including the 1995 Rookie of the Year award and the 2002 PBA AFC Best Player of the Conf. award.

He insists that he wants to retire in style, by forcing himself to join the Aces’ reserve list. He persuaded Coach Tim Cone to do this.

So long, Jeff! A true-blue Ace and certainly, a winner without a doubt. His Coca-Cola jersey was retired last May 19 while his Alaska jersey will retire him by mid-June.
