Basketball aficionados might remember NBA greats Kareem Adbul-Jabbar, Dominique Wilkins, Vlade Divac and Tim Hardaway visiting our country to showcase their talent to Filipino fans. This year, the NBA Asia Challenge returns on August 27 at the Big Dome, this time, with a new set of players in NBA TV analysts Chris Webber and Gary Payton, Glen Rice, and some NBDL players.

Last year’s inagural challange at the Araneta Coliseum was a success. Wilkins led the team with 28 points as the NBA Generations defeated the PBA All-Stars  by a 23-pt. deficit, 109-86. This year’s batch of PBA players will play in the 2nd NBA Challenge are PBA legends Atoy Co, Ronnie Magsanoc, Alvin Patrimonio, and Vergel Meneses along with current players such as Dondon Hontiveros, Rico Maierhofer, Ronald Tubid, Arwind Santos, LA Tenorio, and Asi Taulava. Patrimonio, Magsanoc, Paras, Hontiveros and Santos were part of last year’s PBA Generations squad.

OT: This would be an exciting month for Basketball aficionados with many Baksketball personalities visiting here, this month would be fun for them!
